Diesel Mechanic - Technician

Interstate Power Systems is looking to fill multiple shifts with Experienced or Journeyman level Diesel Mechanic / Technician(s) for our Butler Wisconsin location.
We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanic / Technician(s) to join our team who are specializing in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more! We provide continued training, education, and certification opportunities to all Technician employees
Diesel Mechanic / Technician Job Duties :
- Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
- Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
- Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
- Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
- Meet requirements for certifications.
Diesel Mechanic / Technician Requirements :
- Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
- Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
- Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
- Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
- Other mechanical skills desired but not essential : Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train and Automatic Transmissions.
