Department Overview :

As an RN First Assist in General Surgery, you will play a crucial role!

Schedule :

Clinic and OR shifts throughout the week : Monday to Friday

On-call rotation involved

About the Role :

As an RN First Assist, you will :

• Support surgeons during technical surgical procedures while adhering to safety regulations.
• Assist with intra-operative tasks such as homeostasis, exposure, and closure.
• Engage in patient follow-ups and participate in rounding with the healthcare team.
• Develop specialized preoperative care plans in collaboration with surgeons and health team members.
• Prepare and ensure readiness of surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining safety standards.
• Administer preoperative medications under the guidance of the attending provider and report any responses.
