Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team for the evening shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for residents within a skilled nursing setting.
This role also involves providing direct care, supervising other staff members, and participating in resident and family teaching / conferences.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Assess residents on admission and when conditions change
- Educate residents and families on pain management
- Perform all aspects of resident care in a safe environment
- Submit timely and clear documentation
- Notify physician of changes in resident's condition
- Accompany physician on floor rounds
- Administer medications following safety protocols
- Provide clear and concise reports to oncoming shifts
- Address resident concerns and document complaints
- Act as a resident advocate and protect resident's rights
- Comply with all applicable regulations and policies
Education / Experience Requirements
Required :
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Preferred :
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher degree
- One year experience in long term care
Licensure / Certification Requirements
Required : Registered Nurse licensure in NYS
Preferred : Basic Life Support Certification
