We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA.

This position is primarily responsible for leading and managing project engineering, ensuring we have the optimum facilities and manufacturing processes / lines as well as to provide Engineering and Technical stewardship.

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate all facilities construction and new manufacturing equipment installations.
  • Provide functional stewardship / oversight for all aspects of Engineering.
  • Implement quality improvement and cost reduction projects.
  • Ensure that the business operation has the engineering / technical capability for meeting future business requirements.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, actively involved in improving safety systems and eliminating the causes of accidents.
  • Must exhibit a strong attention to detail in all aspects of role.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude and project management skills are musts.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills area key, as this position must / will interact with many different functions and levels within and outside the organization.
  • A good teacher / mentor and team leader / builder.
  • Capable of handling directly or indirectly, multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Manufacturing and project costing experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multidiscipline technical organizations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Eight to ten years minimum manufacturing experience required : preferably in a continuous process plant environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
