Senior Vice President Operations- EV Charging Network & Facilities Management
Greenlane Infrastructure is a $675M joint venture between Daimler Truck, NextEra Energy Resources, and BlackRock, created to design, develop, deploy and operate a nationwide, high-performance zero-emission public charging and hydrogen refueling network for medium- and heavy-duty battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles.
Greenlane addresses the urgent need for publicly available, nationwide electric charging infrastructure for commercial vehicles and is a critical step toward the development of a sustainable zero-emission vehicle ecosystem across North America.
Reporting directly to CEO, the Senior Vice President of EV Charging Network and Facilities Management is responsible for standing up and operating an array of programs and services which support electric vehicle charging stations being deployed, maintained and supported across the United States and Canada.
The successful candidate will operate with a constant sense of urgency, driving processes and management methodologies ensuring the company is scaling quickly and improving margins, on-time delivery, reliability of network performance and most importantly creating an incredible customer experience.
Will be responsible for standing up, hiring managers and support organizations, and supervising day to day operations of the following functions at full scale :
- Infrastructure EPC Project Management Engineering, Construction, Procurement
- Tech Support Own Driver, Vehicle, Fleet Managers and Tier 2 Technical Support
- Station Operations management of the Greenlane Charging Network including Operations and Maintenance, field teams support of warranty work (both outsourced and inhouse)
- Customer Onboarding Software & Customer Implementations
- Customer Success ongoing customer liaison and experience management
- Facilities & Amenities onsite operations (outsourced to partner)
The position will operate in a cross-matrixed organization working closely with executive leadership, joint venture partners, marketing, technology and sales teams to drive pipeline growth and market share.
Responsibilities :
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership through active involvement in all programs and services.
- Exceed program goals and objectives through hands on, KPI driven project execution and management.
- Ensure that all program activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Greenlane.
- Manage outside suppliers, partner and vendor coordination.
- Ensure effective utilization of technology systems to support Finance, Accounting, Operations, Development, and Marketing.
- Building a large Charging Operations organization from the ground up, including remote and offshore.
- Ability to envision and strategize a future state of Greenlane and deliver on results a seat at the executive team table with a big voice.
- Strong focus on the end user and customer journey and satisfaction, including network performance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant leadership experience. MBA strongly preferred.
- Experience building, scaling and organizing teams this is a position that will be building functions and staffing teams potentially hiring 15-25 people over the next 12 months and negotiating several strategic partnership / supplier contracts to manage.
Expect team to scale up to 5-6 managerial direct reports and a team size of >
50 employees over the next 24 months.
- Experience desired (at least two of the following) : running an EV Charging Network, Fleet, Freight & Logistics and Med-Heavy Duty Trucking
- Exposure to Construction Management (EPC) type of services
- Project Manager Oriented provide leadership, run systems and get teams organized.
- Customer Service Oriented - #1 priority : make customer experience a competitive advantage.
- The position will start as remote, and candidate is preferably located in South West United States need to be accessible to visit Southern California sites where we are opening up our first 12-18 sites.
