We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Signal Hill, California. This role is at the heart of our operations, where you will manage a range of HR functions, including payroll processing, compliance, workers' compensation claims, HR policies and procedures development, and employee relations.

This role is crucial in maintaining a healthy and productive work environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Guide management and staff on labor laws and regulations to ensure legal compliance.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, including timecard adjustments.
  • Handle workers' compensation claims and liaise with insurance providers for timely resolution.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with our company goals.
  • Provide support in employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and participate in recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Conduct training sessions on labor laws, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Ensure HR records and reporting are maintained in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and best practices in human resources management.
  • Use skills in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HCM, Benefit Functions, Communication, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Hiring Processes to effectively perform tasks.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Skilled in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Familiarity with Ceridian and HCM systems is required
  • Experience with Benefit Functions including plan implementation, management, and employee education
  • Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of Compliance regulations and standards in HR
  • Proven ability in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution and team building
  • Experience in all aspects of Hiring Processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
  • Must have the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
