We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Signal Hill, California. This role is at the heart of our operations, where you will manage a range of HR functions, including payroll processing, compliance, workers' compensation claims, HR policies and procedures development, and employee relations.
This role is crucial in maintaining a healthy and productive work environment.
Responsibilities :
- Guide management and staff on labor laws and regulations to ensure legal compliance.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, including timecard adjustments.
- Handle workers' compensation claims and liaise with insurance providers for timely resolution.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with our company goals.
- Provide support in employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
- Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and participate in recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Conduct training sessions on labor laws, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Ensure HR records and reporting are maintained in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and best practices in human resources management.
- Use skills in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HCM, Benefit Functions, Communication, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Hiring Processes to effectively perform tasks.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
- Skilled in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
- Familiarity with Ceridian and HCM systems is required
- Experience with Benefit Functions including plan implementation, management, and employee education
- Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of Compliance regulations and standards in HR
- Proven ability in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution and team building
- Experience in all aspects of Hiring Processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
- Must have the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
