Job Description International Ops Agent (Air Export)

OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY)

Radiant Global Logistics has a fast-paced environment and are looking to expand our staff by adding an International Air Export Agent in International Operations for our Woodbury, NY location.

The candidate preferably will have at least 2 years of prior freight forwarding experience. The International Air Export Agent maintains a heightened level of customer service to our customers and ensures efficient daily operations for all accounts.

They will also be responsible for daily operations moving Air shipments, primarily export. This position is required to work onsite at our JFK location in Woodbury, NY.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS :

The primary role of the International Air Export Agent is.

  • Expected to be driven by their attention to detail and their focus towards continual improvement.
  • The International Air Export Agent is an advocate (main point of contact) for the customer and in doing so establishes as well as maintains the clients profile.
  • Assists others in their duties with all International Air Export accounts.
  • Able to provide customers with status on shipments by using Cargowise, SAP TM, and the Company Intranet.
  • Answer customer emails, voicemails.
  • Able to audit documents for export compliance information and able to obtain missing information from customers.
  • Coordinate activities with the warehouse staff to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Provide support with other miscellaneous projects throughout the branch.
  • Monitors and manages clients shipments until completion. Keeping clients apprised of all related activity.
  • Generates and maintains an active channel of communication between their customers and vendors.
  • Able to provide market competitive rate quotes upon request.
  • Able to accept customer bookings and dispatch for pickup.
  • Able to setup file for processing including validating credit, obtaining complete documents, working with destination on necessary approvals.
  • Process HAWB, and invoice accurately.
  • Able to complete airline booking, review airline contracts and process MAWB.

QUALIFICATIONS : KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in logistics or similar field preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk, and problem solving.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • General Airline / Logistics Knowledge
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and provide input for continuous improvement.
  • 2+ years minimum Freight Forwarding specific experience required. Domestic & International experience a plus.
  • Superior attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and high level of organization approach to work is essential.
  • Displays ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred computer skills : Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft 365, and transportation tracking software.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individuals education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
