Compensation : ?$26-34 / hour + up to 10 hours of overtime available weekly. Employees often earn 1.5x their base pay with overtime pay.
Location : ?Seattle, WA or New Orleans, LA. This role will include a combination of travel, office, home, and field work.
Employees can expect to travel nationally and regionally up to 60% each month. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities :
- Provide preventative and corrective maintenance for Kongsberg control systems
- Read and interpret drawings and control system architecture
- PC competency (networking, troubleshooting, module modification)
- Use of a multimeter / software tools for troubleshooting communication or loop errors
- Understanding of Power Management Systems, generators, and governor control functionality for generators and main engines
- Experience with AC / DC electrical motors
- Ability to add or modify control logic
- Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, 232, 422, 485, TCP / IP, etc.)
- Complete and submit timesheets and expenses promptly
- Take ownership of assigned cases and service trips
- Suggest improvements to products and report needs to the Service Manager or product department
- Make proactive suggestions to customers about available upgrades and new products while onboard
- Carry out actions to prevent errors within our delivery and after-sales services
- Support Aftermarket Sales with aftersales quotations
Qualifications and Experience :
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry / military training
- Knowledge of general electrical / electronic control system concepts, including PID controllers, filters, and communication protocols
- Ability to produce and interpret technical documentation
- Proficient in troubleshooting low voltage electrical components and using multimeters
- Experience with PLC / SCADA systems and their architecture is highly desired
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills and fluency in English
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Valid passport
- Authorized to work lawfully in the US without company sponsorship
- Availability to travel on short notice, including after hours, holidays / weekends, for extended periods both locally and internationally
