Marketing Automation Specialist - Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot

POSITION SUMMARY : The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for the execution and support of communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other ESPs.
This role will rely on his or her experience to implement emails that follow best practices for all email platforms and clients, deliverability, render optimization, and all email delivery rules and regulations.
They will partner closely with Marketing Managers and IT to create digital solutions. This role will analyze and report on campaigns to optimize the digital experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing and a willingness to advance their technical skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
You will be creating emails and SMS texts within our strategic vision. This will include :
- Building communications from scratch, utilizing existing templates, and harnessing dynamic content.
- Leading the Marketing Automation Specialists in the creation of communications within the marketing automation platform.
- Production lead for Marketing Automation in partnership with the manager. Advise on overall capacity and resource needs.
- Helping lead and support the enhancement of the platform including onboarding new business units, both domestic and international.
- Using data extensions to build the audience lists for sends and managing audience segmentation.
- Facilitating implementation of communications based on the editorial calendar and Persona journeys.
- Ensuring email templates meet brand guidelines by working closely with our creative and UX partners.
- Ensuring integrity of email send lists, including monitoring unsubscribes, bounces, and engagement.
- Utilizing analytical skills and digital analytics tools to evaluate performance; identifying and quantifying measurement metrics, KPIs, conversion metrics, and ROI.
- Sharing responsibility for troubleshooting and supporting the health of the systems we maintain with other team members.
- Providing mentoring to new employees and junior Marketing Automation Specialists to enable effectiveness of the marketing automation platform.
- Working closely with Product Owners on cross-functional initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform including experience with :
- Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, and Cloud Pages.
- Deep understanding of email strategy, creation, and execution.
- Email optimization, including proofing / editing content, A / B testing, building email templates and components, building email journeys, using dynamic content, list management reporting, and data extensions.
Understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR.

Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Upon evaluation, a related associate's degree and 5+ years of demonstrated success in working directly with email implementation in a robust email service provider may be considered.
Equivalent related experience and / or education may also be substituted for degree requirement.
Experience with ESPs / marketing automation tools - Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, and / or Mail Chimp.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Salesforce or Pardot.
- Certifications that set a candidate apart include : Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Pardot Specialist, and / or Pardot Consultant.
- Fluency in Spanish language (reading, writing, and speaking) is a nice to have.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe, or Tableau is a plus.
- Familiarity with Ampscript.
- Understanding of Accessibility (Section 508) and Web Usability Standards.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology and concepts is desired.
