Description
POSITIONSUMMARY : Expedites problem resolution of patientflow barriers through inter-departmental collaboration includingdirection of environmental services, lab, radiology, pharmacy, casemanagement, respiratory therapy, patient care unit associates andother associates as indicated to maintain patientflow .
Maintains communicationwith the Administrative Supervisor and Patient Intake Center (PIC)throughout the shift. Coordinates patient room assignment,prioritized bed flow issues and communicates plan toPIC.
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : High SchoolDiploma. Completion of the Advanced Certified NursingAssistant training required or must obtain within six months fromdate of hire or date of transfer.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : Certified nursing assistant certificationrequired or must be obtained within 3 months from date of transferor hire.
BLS issued through American Heart Associationrequired.

EXPERIENCE : Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as aCertified Nursing Assistant in an acute hospital setting, orrelevant experience preferred.

Works irregular hours. Multiple simultaneous activities of patient care. Exposure toinfectious diseases and x-rays. Exposure to varyingunpredictable situations.
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS : Must be able to handle emergencysituations, prolonged, extensive or considerable standing. Has knowledge of and uses good body mechanics.
Occasionallypositions, pushes and / or transfers patients or equipment. Hearing and visual acuity within normal limits. Manualdexterity and fine motor coordination required
