The Assistant Project Manager works within the Project Management team which is responsible for planning and oversight of projectsfrom preconstruction to completion to ensure a timely and cost-effective outcome.

- Up-and-coming General Contractor based 30 minutes north-west of Boston
- Specialize in 'special projects' other companies avoid within the healthcare, life sciences, infrastructure / core + shell, and commercial construction markets - typically along the 495 belt with 98% repeat client business year on year
Description
Responsibilities include :
- Assist with preconstruction, track bidding, engage subcontractors for proposals
- Assist with tracking change orders, collecting backup and vetting process
- Create and maintain accurate project documents
- Assist with setting up newly awarded projects according to company's requirements
- Distribute project documents to team members accordingly
- Assist with project buyout, leveling scopes, etc.
- Issue Project Specific Agreements to applicable Subcontractors
- Participate in recurring team meetings
- Issue accurate and timely meeting agendas / minutes
- Track Subcontractor compliance items
- Create procurement log and maintain
- Review submittals for accuracy and submit to design team
- Assist project team with the reaction and distribution of RFI's
Profile
Desired Skills and Experience include :
- General understanding of industry, construction materials and methods
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or applicable discipline Desired but not required.
- Basic computer skills - proficient in Procore & Microsoft Office Applications
- OSHA 30 certification (training covered by company)
- Ability to read and interpret project plan set, specifications, and submittals
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills , able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- General understanding of industry, construction materials and methods
