Medical Assistant (Northern Region)

The Medical Assistant Regional manages the check-in, rooming, and check-out process for patients at regional outreach locations, ensuring the process runs smooth and efficient for both the patient and the provider. Completes the patient rooming and check-out process, educates patient on care plans and related items, ensures readiness of charts by reviewing and preparing all pertinent patient information, assists with and / or performs procedures, and accurately records all actions in the electronic medical record.

• This position rotates between Rhinelander & Woodruff. Periodic travel to Wausau is also required.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.

BLS Certification Required

Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred.

Competencies Required

Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Possesses interpersonal, communication, and listening skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with patients, physicians, and all staff members.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of health information.
