Flex Schedule : Will work mainly Monday-Friday 3 : 00pm 11 : 30 pm but will need to be available to switch days and hours depending on events.

Employee will need to be available to work late nights / early mornings, days and weekends. When working the flex shifts, employee will adjust their normal schedule for the week.

Position Specific Responsibilities The position of Custodian is responsible for completing cleaning and stocking duties in assigned areas and may require the operation of technical equipment.

Promotes Green cleaning and maintenance in day-to-day tasks and practices to advance healthier work environments. This position also comes with a robust benefits package (effective on your first day) and generous paid time off.

Summary of Responsibilities Performs routine manual work in cleaning, servicing, and stocking supplies in University buildings.

Essential Functions Cleans and services assigned areas in University buildings and maintains sufficient stock and supplies for the proper performance of these duties.

Sweeps, mops, and buffs and sprays buff floors and vacuums rugs and carpets in assigned area as needed.

Cleans rest rooms, offices, and replenishes supplies.

Washes windows, walls, and other assigned areas. Picks up trash, empties garbage containers, and removes all trash to area for disposal.

Shovels and removes snow and ice from designated areas such as roofs, sidewalks and entryways as required. Commitment Wichita State University is the only urban-serving public university in Kansas and has the most diverse student body of all the Kansas state universities.

Ability to work effectively with fellow workers and others.

Ability to understand and follow explicit instructions, both in oral and written form.
