Position Summary

We are seeking a driven engineer to join our sales team, focusing on expanding business with existing clients and developing new opportunities. The role involves applications engineering, sales support, and field service. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The position includes comprehensive training, mentorship, and opportunities to develop skills in product knowledge, market strategies, and business development.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Provide application engineering and design support for HVAC projects, emphasizing sustainable products and advanced technologies tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate directly with engineers, contractors, end users, and food service dealers.
  • Perform inside sales support, application engineering, and outside sales activities.
  • Conduct presentations, prepare quotes and submittals, offer technical support, visit job sites, and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Educate and promote CaptiveAire products through calls, meetings, presentations, and demos.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with current and potential clients.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and go above and beyond to meet client needs.
  • Prioritize quick turnaround times in all tasks.

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Four-year technical degree in mechanical, electrical, construction, or science-related field preferred.
  • Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Customer interface enthusiasm.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies and business strategies.
  • Drive to succeed and a proactive attitude ("Go Getter").
  • Willingness to travel for training; role based in Raleigh with remote work from Norfolk.
