We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Manufacturing industry located in Torrance, California, United States.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and handling customer inquiries.
Responsibilities :
- Handle daily billing and apply payments to outstanding invoices promptly
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable aging, and take necessary actions if the customer fails to respond
- Oversee prepay customers, including sending Pro-Forma invoices and taking necessary actions if payment is not received
- Handle customized billing and process material issuance
- Assist in maintaining costing database, including material reconciliation, invoice tagging, and research discrepancies
- File and sort correspondence as required
- Investigate customer claims of invoice payment and discrepancies
- Perform month-end general ledger journal entries of Accounts Receivable and Cash accounts, conduct related monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
- Assist with external audits every quarter and internal audits periodically
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Must have experience in Account Reconciliation
- Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
- Demonstrated ability in Billing procedures
- Must be adept at Cash Applications
- Experience in Cash Collections is necessary
- Familiarity with Commercial Collections is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed
- Experience with Oracle is a plus
- Must have knowledge of QuickBooks
- Prior experience with SAP is beneficial
- Familiarity with the manufacturing industry is desired
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is necessary
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask efficiently.
