Security Officer - Corrections Screener Full Time

As a Security Officer - Corrections Screener Full Time in Bushnell, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal in a corrections environment, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Wed 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Thur 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Fri 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Screen individuals entering the location by following established protocols, including checking identification and / or belongings as required.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter prohibited items from being brought into the facility.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or breaches of policy according to site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and / or contractors while maintaining a security-related presence.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established response protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
