Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : ICU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years of neuro experience required License : Valid CA license must be in hand Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH, LA Fire Card Must-Have : Strong neuro experience- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)- Ability to float between units as needed Job Description : Work in a Level 2 Trauma, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center with a high acuity neuro population.
- Care for cardiovascular, multi-trauma, gunshot, stroke and STEMI patients, motor vehicle accidents, and orthopedic conditions.
- Serve in a unit with 12 overflow beds.- Utilize Epic for charting.- Participate in 40 hours of non-billable orientation.
- Modules are to be completed prior to start. Average 16 hours spent, with any over 20 hours requiring approval.- Expectation to float between all facilities within a given state.
Refusal may lead to termination or loss of guaranteed hours.- Background policy requires license / background hits to be disclosed up front.
- Two supervisory references from the last three years required, covering one year of employment in a comparable specialty / setting.
- Travelers are expected to be equipped with communication devices necessary for duty performance. If not provided, reimbursement is available up to a maximum amount as per policy.
