Job Description

The Student Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for establishing community relationships, engaging CALV prospects, and recruiting prospective students for careers in the Las Vegas hospitality industry.

This position requires frequent travel and varied work hours to effectively reach and connect with potential students. It will report to the Success Manager in collaboration with CALV’s student service team.

Essential Functions :

  • Experience in the education or workforce development space.
  • A strong interest in regularly participating in & promoting CALV to prospective students at weekday, evening, and weekend events in our targeted areas.
  • Strong marketing and presentation skills to effectively communicate CALV’s mission, values, and overall programming.
  • An ability to generate referrals by quickly building rapport and trust with their respective audience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including external candidates, at-risk communities, corporate clients, and staff.
  • Highly developed organizational and computer skills with strict attention to detail
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local non-profit and workforce development agencies, local employers, and Clark County schools.
  • Contact and meet high school counselors / teachers to promote CALV’s training programs and build a successful calendar of events within the CCSD school system.
  • Attend external recruiting events, ensuring CALV’s presence at local employment and resource fairs.
  • Conduct in-person and / or virtual tours and presentations to share information on CALV’s program offerings.
  • Assist prospective students with information regarding registration requirements, program benefits, and career pathways.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding all CALV’s programs and supportive services.
  • Produce follow-up reports regarding activities and future recruiting plans.
  • Provide on-campus support during special events and tours, including weekly Information Sessions as needed.
  • Perform all other duties related to student recruitment and student success as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites. 2 years or more experience working in higher education, workforce development, or sales (Hospitality experience a plus).

Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.

Licensing and Certification :

  • HS Diploma required.
  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, or Communications (preferred).

Note : Any degree, diploma, high school equivalent, or course hours required to meet minimum qualifications must be obtained from an accredited educational institution.
