Job Summary / Company :

Sparks Group has partnered with a renowned nonprofit organization to find a Senior Accountant. As the Senior Accountant, you will be supporting a specific division within the organization with grant accounting work, reconciliations, reporting, as well as assisting with budgeting and audits.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience in grants financial management.

Responsibilities :

• Manage overall grant accounting reconciliation, analysis, reporting, and compliance.
• Support grant budgeting, currency translation, accounting, and reporting for other offices.
• Assist with preparing for and supporting annual audits
• Prepare various complex financial reports
• Offer guidance on monthly reporting, accounting, and fund requests to various other offices

Qualifications / Background Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 4-7 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in federal grants financial management preferred
• Experience working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office 365.
