Summary for the Business Operations Analyst :

  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, this position is responsible for leveraging core banking system capabilities to drive efficiency and improve service delivery.
  • This position serves as the primary administrator for Enterprise Workflows, Synapsys CRM, and Synergy.
  • As a utility player on the operations team, this generalist position requires a solid understanding of banking, banking operations, and project management methodology.
  • Position works collaboratively with business lines to identify and implement process improvement opportunities that maximize system capabilities while also maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues to management.
  • In support of Bank growth tracks and analyzes Bank ROI using these applications over time.

Job Requirements for the Business Operations Analyst :

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a financial services operations environment.
  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, or another related field. In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in project management, finance, operations, or related field.
  • Broad knowledge of retail banking across delivery channels.
  • Ability to drive stakeholder discussions to comprehend business requirements and translate into functional specifications that shape required business outcomes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and with vendors.
  • Ability to apply a high degree of independent business judgement and discretion.
  • Ability to influence without authority, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with experience in balancing conflicting priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Visio.
  • Exhibits a demonstrated understanding of core parameters, field mapping, data flow, and data manipulation within the core and ancillary applications.

Specific Job Functions for the Business Operations Analyst :

  • Conduct assessments of business operations to identify and recommend process improvements or automation opportunities that increase efficiency and / or drive business results.
  • Define scope and objectives based on user requirements and a thorough understanding of business processes.
  • Utilize project management methodology to execute projects ensuring each meets success measures and is completed on time and within budget.
  • With the transition from current state to future state, analyst articulates business impacts to processes utilizing change management rigor.
  • Assist in the development of procedures, training plans and training to support implementation to end users.
  • Ensure mapping documentation is maintained and updated as new requirements are introduced.
  • Perform ROI and other financial analyses to measure change impacts.
  • As an application owner, perform ongoing maintenance of user access for select applications and serve as a point of contact for day-to-day user support.

Serves as a liaison with Jack Henry to resolve associated issues.

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards as requested.
  • Function as part of the Operations team leading or supporting assigned projects and initiatives as directed by the Director of Operations.
  • Demonstrate understanding and compliance with Bank policies and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines as applicable to the position.
  • Perform additional duties as requested or assigned.
