Junior Accountant
Ascendo Resources is actively seeking a Junior Accountant for an immmediate, full-time, fully remote role!
Our client, a international retail company is located in the Lone Tree / Highland Ranch area. Candidates will be responsible for picking up invoices weekly at nearby PO box and must be local to Lone Tree / Highlands Ranch area.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience and strong understanding of accounting principals.
Hours : Mon-Fri (7am - 4pm)
Pay Rate
$28 / hr - $31 / hr
Salary : $ 55-65K / year + performance based annual bonus + Retirement plan matching + Dental / Vision / Health insurance
Job Duties :
- Accounts Receivable (AR) : Collecting payments, charging accounts, collecting checks.
- Assist with implementation of new payment platform, switching to ACH from paper checks.
- Annual credit platform reminders.
- Accounts Payable (AP) : Data entry, vendor payments, managing vendor inquiries.
- Handling 1099 / 1042 forms.
- Banking tasks : Recording bank movements, reconciling bank statements.
- Cash management : Generating reports to improve cash management.
- Assisting with month-end close process and ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years experience in accounting, understanding of accounting principles.
- Manual-based processes understanding.
- BA degree in accounting or related field
- Strong communication skills for interactions with retailers and customers.
- Bilingual (English / French) plus, but not required
- Attention to detail.
- Excel proficiency including pivot tables.
