Position Overview

Join us in our fast-paced support to theSpace Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.

SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience.

We are seeking a Configuration Manager to support SDA’s mission.

Responsibilities include :

Responsibilities

Manage documentation and products to maintain integrity of configuration control; administer and organize a data repository for documentation and products.

Oversee the release process for documentation including acquiring requisiteapprovals.

• Work with government client and vendors to develop configurations management plans and documentation; may be called upon to review, edit and provide recommendations for configuration management plans provided by performers
• Use or recommend automated configuration management tools to implement configuration management policies and procedures
• Evaluate and assess and provide recommendations to Government Project Managers on program objectives and assist in carrying out associated technical and program management responsibilities.

Includes technical analyses to define, assess, and monitor program technical aspects to assist with technical assessments of the Government’s requirement’s progress to track program progress and technical risk.

Required Qualifications

• TS / SCI-Eligible - Currently hold an active TS / SCI or have held an SCI and have been debriefed in the last 24 months; #qinetiqclearedjob
• Bachelor's of Science in a scientific field
• Minimum of 10 years of prior experience with configuration management design and deployment
• Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, excel and / or other equivalent program management tools.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be independently motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

• Acquisition or government program management experience highly desired
• ISO 9000 Certified
• CMMI Level 3
