Internship Training Director / Program Coordinator

Join our dedicated team as an Internship Training Director / Program Coordinator, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of clinical psychology through innovative training and leadership. This position offers the opportunity to design and implement impactful service programming while managing effective operations that align with our strategic goals. Your expertise in clinical practice and program management will be invaluable as you guide and support our interns in their professional development.

In this role, you will oversee the psychology internship program, ensuring compliance with APA standards while maintaining a small clinical caseload. You will be a culture champion for the department, leading a team of Outpatient Services members and contributing to successful program operations. Your leadership will help promote community understanding of mental health and enhance responses to mental health challenges.

The Intern Training Director / Program Coordinator position offers :

Education Support Perks :

  • Tuition Reimbursement - Up to $3,000 / year for accredited, job-related courses (B grade or higher). Available to full-time team members (30+ hrs / week) after 6 months.
  • Student Loan Repayment - Up to $15,000 for licensed / provisionally licensed Psychologists and $10,000 for Counselors & Social Workers. Eligible after 90 days of full-time employment.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and manage all aspects of the psychology internship program, ensuring compliance with APA and NPTC standards.
  • Maintain program fidelity, including adherence to accreditation requirements, operational guidelines, and best practices.
  • Provide administrative supervision and support to interns, monitoring their progress and competencies.
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload, providing direct client care and modeling evidence-based practices.
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings, intern development activities, and community outreach.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all client documentation.

    • Education, Experience, and / or Credential Qualifications :

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Licensure as a psychologist in Missouri or ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in clinical practice.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in program evaluation, strategic planning, and outcome measurement.
  • Effective communication skills for presentations, reports, and team collaboration.

    • Additional Qualifications :

  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Leadership and / or supervision experience required.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Sedentary work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and / or writing during work shift.
  • Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
