JobDescription :

TheAV Service Technicians responsibilities include consulting withclients job site travel and performing diagnostic tests maintenanceand repair of Audio Video systems.

Basic code loading andprogramming experience with Crestron and Control 4 are required.Experience and / or ability to interface with diverse clientele isrequired.

Prior experience in commercial sound video lightingcontrol projection systems corporate conference room sound& video and videoconferencing is preferred.

Must be aselfmotivated resultsoriented professional with strong oral andwritten communication ss. High standards for personal integritywork ethic professional presentation and quality work are alsorequired.

Scopeof Responsibilities : Level1

Abilityto read basic plans of audio andvideo.

Pullinglow voltage wire (new construction and retro fit) according tobasic designs and project manager or lead techinstructions.

Toneand Test cabling be able to use amultimeter

Neatand legible labeling of wires and components according to companystandards

Experiencewith termination including RJ45 DB9 HD15 RCA BNC and othercompression crimp or solder on terminations. Fiber terminationinstallation and splicing aplus.

Understandingof how to trimout basic inwall / inceiling speakers with or withoutpre construction brackets phone ports data ports I.

E. RJ11 RJ45 jacks / wires and other basicequipment. Insuring all trimout productsare straight / level and lined up correctly.

Laser level is a must on inwall and on wallinstallations.

Abilityto rack mount most equipment lacing rear bars in proper places andrack rails along with terminating basic power to a power striplabeling all cables andcomponents.

Generalknowledge of the basic systems and connectivity of thosesystems.

Installand setup ss for basic installedsystems

Insuringitems on given punchlists are complete in a timelyfashion.

Generalknowledge of basic hand tools proper and safe operation of thosetools.

Abilityto work efficiently and neatly in client s homes and businesses.Neat and acceptable appearance courteous to peers andclients.

Asense of urgency for organization and quality ofwork.

Abilityto work and communicate with other team members and take directionfrom team lead and projectmanager.

Cleaningdaily job trash unneeded materials etc. from the inside of the vanseach day and a complete cleaning eachweek

Scopeof Responsibilities : Level2

Generalknowledge in the areas of installation service testing andmaintenance of equipment including speakers amplifiers projectorsdisplaysetc.

Abilityto punch down / terminate all 66 and 110 phone blocks igning demarklines from outside to inside of the building terminating andlabeling data blocks CATV distribution systems and satellitesystems.

Installationof control systems. Know how to upload and download programmingcode from internal or externalprogrammer

Fullunderstand products being sold and connection and signalrouting.

Trainedeye for detail and pride in qualityinstallation.

Abilityto install and configure audio systems and video projectiondevices.

Understandingof different audio and video signalqualities.

Abilityto solve problems without outside istance and ability to read andunderstand productmanuals.

Awarenessof jobsite issues and helpful resolution for ProjectManagement.

Excellentdebugging ss and the ability to logically troubleinstallations.

Knowhow to construct install wire and label equipmentracks.

Abilityto read full plans of network phone TV audio video andcontrol.

Asense of urgency for organization and quality ofwork.

Abilityto work and communicate with other teammembers.

Scopeof Responsibilities : Level 3 Not Required advanced level techonly

Installationand setup of control systems. Includes IR RF IP CEC and RS232communicationprotocols.

Mustbe familiar with uploading and editing programs into controlsystems.

Knowledgeof ProAudio Residential and Commercial systems includinginstallation of speakers speaker systems DSP devices automated andmanual mixers mixing consoles EQ s compressor / limiters speakerprocessors amplifiers and other outboard gear ociated withinstallation ofsystems.

Abilityto install accessory equipment such as popups / cable cubbies inconference tables floor boxes in ceiling camera systems as well aslighting control shade control and surveillancesystems.

Understandingof wireless systems (RF Environment) Micsystems LAN control and otherdevices)

Abilityto write and modify audio programs for common DSPs.

Strongunderstanding of Ethernet (LAN) technologies. Ability to configurenetwork switches routers and portforwarding.

Understandingof OSHA ADA requirements applicable coderequirements

Abilityto fully commission any level of system including residentialcommercial or proaudio systems.

Strongknowledge in all areas of installation service testing andmaintenance of projectors and related equipment including electricscreens lifts rear projection emblies and ociatedmounts.

Installationand setup and configuration of video conferencing system endpoints
