If you are graduating with a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering, or in a related technical field, and want to work in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), we'd love to have you join our team!

We are seeking creative problem solvers to help us perform key research, development, analysis, and testing of GNC systems for Air and Missile Defense applications.

As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you'll contribute to basic and applied research in controls and autonomy, concept development, detailed design and analysis, and flight testing of evolutionary and revolutionary missile interceptors.

As a member of our team your primary responsibility will be to apply control and estimation theory to the design, modeling, and analysis of GNC systems and to assess weapon system performance.

Depending on your specific areas of interest, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate guidance algorithms, flight controls, navigation systems, and / or flight hardware for next-generation guided missiles to intercept advanced, stressing threats.
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and performance assessment of guided missile systems to support conceptual design through flight testing.
  • Design and build unique test capabilities to evaluate cutting-edge control actuation hardware systems.
  • Propose and / or engage in internally-funded research and development projects to address performance gaps in weapon systems.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or in a related technical field
  • Are skilled in or have knowledge of control systems, guidance algorithms, inertial navigation, state estimation, flight dynamics, astrodynamics, modeling and simulation of dynamic systems, hardware design, and / or robotics
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and on a team
  • Are proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C++
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance.

If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.

  • Have experience working with GNC systems (algorithms, modeling, or hardware / test)
  • Have experience with collaborative software development and object-oriented software design techniques
  • Have an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
