The Role : Senior Associate, Tech Ops Lead

The Team : The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network.

The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures.

Our services are vital to automated trade processing around the globe, managing peak volumes and working with our customers and regulators to ensure the efficient settlement of trades and effective operation of global capital markets

Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain mission-critical financial services systems.

Provides direct and responsive support for urgent incidents.

Participates in architecture and software development activities.

Translates loosely defined requirements into solutions.

Uses open-source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project.

Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.

What We’re Looking For :

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent area of technical study.

Min. 8 - 10 years of experience as an IT Engineer or System Engineer

Experience using and configuring monitoring tools and solutions, experience with Nagios / Thruk is an advantage.

Strong knowledge and proven experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows Servers are required.

Experience supporting and troubleshooting Java and / or JBoss applications is a big advantage.

Oversee day to day Tech Ops activities such as application deployments, configuration changes, Incident reporting.

Strong proven experience with AWS and Cloud Technologies is required. Certifications are a plus.

Experience with Job Scheduling tools such as Jenkins, Hudson or Rundeck

Experience with Apache Proxies is required.

Proven understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Terraform.

Good experience with Active Directory and LDAP Protocol.

Good knowledge of ITIL best practices and standards

Proven experience building and troubleshooting Bash and Python code
