Under supervision provides administrative support to the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center. The front desk coordinator is the first point of contact for patients performing and coordinating all front office patient-centered duties.
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as a resource for patients, physicians and staff. Duties include managing our daily patient census and ensuring all are listed and checked in for the day.
Creating and maintaining current patient information in Epic. Assisting in coordinating purchases and monitoring office and clinic supplies.
Maintaining provider schedules. Assisting the Insurance team with obtaining proper documentation and collection of co-pays.
Sorting / distributing mail and faxes. Responsible for processing work orders for needed repairs. Responsible for the keys and badging for the employees. Answering phones.
Other responsibilities to include but not limited to : Generating and maintaining databases used in the functioning of the clinic.
Process release of information requests. Performing onboarding and off-boarding of all staff members. Utilizing a thorough knowledge of this organization, independently respond to a variety of requests and disseminate information through excellent interpersonal communications skills, telephone and electronic communications.
Initiates and composes correspondence and reports using a variety of protocols. Troubleshoots problems and handles highly confidential matters and materials.
Function independently, exercising professional judgment. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of experience / equivalent education performing administrative duties in a professional environment.
- Proficient in the following : Epic, Outlook. Word, and Excel.
- Superb customer service presence.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, skilled on the phone, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Strong written and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Healthcare experience.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range : $40,700 - $81,850 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $19.49 - $39.20
