American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an active OR license, BLS and PALS certification, and at least two years of experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit caring for critically ill or injured pediatric patients from birth to young adulthoodNight shift schedule with 3x12 hour shiftsUnit is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital20-bed unit with a range of diagnoses including trauma, surgery, cardiac, respiratory, hematology / oncology, and neurologic disordersPerform bedside procedures such as central and arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, intubation / extubation, CRRT, and ECMO cannulationsUse Hamilton G5 Ventilators, DirectLink ICP Monitors, Artic Sun Temperature Management, and Baxter PrismaflexEMR : Epic (Epic experience is required)Float required within hospital to NICU and pediatric units; no floating to sister hospitalsRequired to work weekends; no on-call responsibilitiesScrubs provided for OR; no prints allowedFirst-time travelers are accepted with relevant CVPICU experienceCare provided in a family-centered atmosphere as part of a multidisciplinary team including therapists, nutritionists, and other specialistsMust outline all time off requests at the time of consideration; no more than two weeks allowedLocals accepted at the same rate; no minimum mile radius requiredCandidates may be required to float to affiliate hospitals nearby as unit needs dictatePre-start modules required for onboardingHoliday coverage may be required as part of regular scheduling\n \n Requirements\n
