As a Systems Administrator, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS / SCI cleared Systems Administrator joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.
In this role, a typical day will include :
- Developing technical solutions for the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architecture.
- Providing interpretation to systems matters that are moderately complex in nature.
- Providing troubleshooting support for systems hardware and software issues that are highly complex.
- Training end users on the proper use of hardware and software, including large groups of end users when necessary.
- Performing advanced software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Applying advanced knowledge in monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Providing guidance to less experienced personnel on workstation / server data integrity matters and the implementation of standard software and hardware solutions.
- Leading complex data / media recoverability efforts following scheduled system backups and database archive operations.
- Conducting advanced hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Serving as a recognized subject matter expert in the job area, typically through advanced education and work experience.
- Establishing operational plans and managing large projects with limited oversight from the manager.
- Evaluating and assessing existing systems and planning long-term strategies.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of less-experienced professionals.
- Serving as a team or task leader (not a people manager).
What you will bring to us (Required Skills) :
- BA / BS (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of related experience.
