Join the exciting Components Engineering team, which is the in Parts Materials and Processes Engineering department, as a Components Engineer.
The team is a cornerstone to our design, production, and sustainment programs.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be responsible for providing Components Engineering support as a technical expert for electrical standard parts as well as providing part support (cables, wiring, connectors, fiber, switches, backshells, etc ) to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs.
You will get the opportunity to work on the F-35 aircraft program, as well as work in a very dynamic work environment with a lot of opportunity for growth.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Supporting conceptual and layout design phases with standard parts expertise.
- Promoting product quality through qualification of suppliers, maintenance of authorized supplier list, and coordination with quality department on standard part quality issues.
- Mitigating part procurement schedule impacts through vendor coordination, technical inputs, alternate suppliers, action request resolution, and substitution documentation.
- Supporting production through investigation and resolution of standard part related issues impacting manufacturing. Maintain awareness of the technical and business state-of-affairs for standard part industries.
- Maintaining standard parts tool for quick identification and selection of standard parts and ensure standardization across Lockheed Martin and suppliers.

You have a background in engineering requirements and selection of mechanical standard parts. You are a multi-faceted teammate able to communicate and function effectively on a dynamic multisite team, must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
