About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Imaging Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist, OR experience required License : Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology Certifications : ARRT Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Excellent communication skills- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced and stressful environment- Excellent customer service skills- Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking- Compliance with hospital policies and professional standards- Competence in Diagnostic Radiology, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection- Understanding of anatomy and pathology as they affect the quality of procedures Job Description : Be flexible with work hours to meet departmental needs and act dependably, accountably, and cooperatively.
- Perform all exams provided by the department, ensuring safe, age-appropriate care.- Obtain quality diagnostic studies with independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Set up equipment for imaging services and position patients for procedures.- Act as a clinical coordinator and instructor for imaging students, providing constructive feedback and filling out evaluations.
- Adjust technique to minimize patient radiation dose while maintaining image quality.- Report equipment malfunctions promptly and maintain cleanliness and functionality according to infection control policies.
- Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindications.- Adhere to procedures for administering contrast media and ensure proper patient identification and use of markers.
- Review images for clinical acceptability and handle emergencies appropriately.- Organize schedules and priorities to meet required activities within time frames.
- Demonstrate competence in procedures, patient privacy, and pre / post procedural care.- Educate and communicate effectively with patients, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding of procedures.
- Produce high-quality images and meet operational standards for equipment and procedural documentation.- Collaborate with colleagues and assist across modalities as needed.
- Restock supplies, transport patients, and maintain a clean and orderly imaging service area.- Ensure ongoing education and training compliance and participate in quality control processes.
