Simi Valley Aerospace company is in need of an Engineering Tech. Associates degree required. Must pass background, drug test and meet ITAR.
Engineering Technician responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling and testing a variety of manufactured electronics products and materials.
Primary Responsibilities include :
- Disassemble, evaluate, troubleshoot to component level, quote, repair, reassemble and test all units
- Performs testing with procedures and documentation by developing equipment setups for undocumented requirements
- Assembles and tests experimental motor-control devices and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
- Test / troubleshoot to component level and board level
- Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction of equipment, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Plans, directs, and records periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
- Examine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications
- Monitor controls and instruments
- Coordinate and participate in installing units or systems to be tested in test fixtures, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, power source and indicating instruments
- Activates controls to apply electrical or mechanical power and subjects test items to successive steps in the test cycle
- Recommend changes to ATP's as necessary
- Confer with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to specifications and reviews test plans such as types and cycles of tests
- Review and respond to open corrective actions
- Provides input to assist in resolving customer problems and complaints
