In this exciting role as the Pre-Market Supply Chain Quality Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a multi-site team in the execution of new product development program milestones.

In addition, you will be responsible for the continued development of the employees.Responsibilities also include budget management, hiring responsibilities, performance management and occasional reporting to Sr. Leadership.

A Day in the Life

  • Plans, directs, and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.
  • May develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
  • Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
  • Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products.
  • Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release.
  • Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
  • Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development.
  • Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

People Management function :

Management and supervisory professionals with one or more employees who are focused on tactical, operational and some strategic activities within a specified area.

Levels within the management career stream typically have six or more direct reports.

  • Oversee area of responsibility, manage performance, develop talent, engagement, and inclusion, communicate business and operational developments, plan, prioritize and / or direct the responsibilities of direct reports.
  • A key responsibility of roles in this career stream is managing people includes : Accountability for mentoring, developing and coaching staff on meeting / exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives.

Providing leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets.

Conducting performance reviews, and staff 1 : 1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals.

Must Have (Minimum Requirements)

  • OR advance degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of people managementexperience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications )

  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers, contract manufacturers or OEMs.
  • Experience with implanted class III medical devices
  • Established and effective communicator both to team members and work partners.
  • A demonstrated strong sense of team and the ability to develop a team first culture.
  • Familiarity with the PPAP Process.
