About The Position
Job Title : Monitor Technician Job Specialty : Cardiography / EKG Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : One (1) year of experience as a Cardiographic Technician or EKG Technician License : Certifications : Registered / Active Certification as a Cardiographic Technician or EKG Technician, Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification obtained through the American Heart Association Must-Have : High School Diploma or GED, Must successfully pass an EKG interpretation test Job Description : Perform and monitor electrocardiograms (EKG) for patients in a general medicine / infectious disease unit.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate test results.- Work as a Telemetry Monitor Technician, ensuring timely and precise monitoring.
- Support patient care by detecting and reporting abnormalities quickly.- Follow all safety and protocol guidelines related to patient care.
- Must comply with vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 and flu vaccines, with medical / religious exemptions as applicable.
- Be flexible to float to different units within a 50-mile radius if requested.- Participate in a 24-hour orientation program.
Please note : No requests for time off are permitted on weekends or the day before or after a holiday. Floating may occur, and staff must be open to working across various units and teams.
