About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization Lab Job Specialty : Cardiac Catheterization Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Days, 4x10 Hour Shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 per Week Experience : Minimum of One Year License : Current RN License or a multistate compact RN License Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association Must-Have : Knowledge of cardiac care and professional nursing theories and practices.
Job Description : Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, providing nursing care with varying degrees of complexity.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians in patient examinations and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.- Deliver competent patient care and share the care plan with patients and families during hospitalization and discharge.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and perform other duties as assigned.
