Our office is expanding and we’re looking for a medical assistant to help us provide first-class patient care! You’ll work directly with our healthcare staff to record patient histories, collect test samples, record vital signs, give vaccines, perform newborn screening and capillary blood draws.

Compensation : $19 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities :
- Assist healthcare staff with examinations by handing the appropriate medical instrument and supplies to the physician, positioning the patient, and helping with other tasks as needed
- Greet patients, handle telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries regarding treatment or prescription refills to make sure each patient has a great experience in our office
- Take the patient’s vital signs including their pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it in their chart
- Obtain blood samples from patients and sent them to the laboratory for testing
- Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the rooms are well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipment is sterilized
- Pediatric vaccines - prefer 1-year experience
Qualifications :
- High school graduate or has GED
- Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting
- Has Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Over 1 year of work experience as a medical assistant performing admin duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment
- Pediatrics experience. 1-year giving vaccines
