Job Overview :

We are seeking an organized and proactive entry level Operations Management Specialist Trainee to join our team at A&K Railroad Materials Inc.

The Operations Management Specialist Trainee will play a key role in supporting day-to-day field operations and project management activities.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong managerial skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

The specialist will work directly for the VP of Operations and Operations managerial staff.

Requirements :

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Management Assistance :
• Provide support to project managers in planning, organizing, and executing projects.
• Assist with project scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking project progress.
• Coordinate with team members and external stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Maintain organized records and databases.
• Communication and Coordination :
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external partners, relaying messages and facilitating communication with

operational employees.

• Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other project-related documents.
• Operational Support :
• Coordinate logistics for transportation and delivery of materials.
• Support operational staff in resolving day-to-day issues and challenges.
• Inventory and Materials identification :
• Assist in field inspection of track materials.
• Assist in maintaining inventory records and managing supply orders.
• Work occasionally in the field to help identify materials and projects.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in operational management assistance role preferred.
• Strong organizational, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry practices a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Be able to travel extensively though out the US and Canada
