Security Application Engineer / Control Engineer
W2 Contract
Salary Range : $249,600 - $270,400 per year
Location : Sunnyvale, CA - Onsite Role
Requirements and Qualifications :
- 5+ years of mechanical and electrical controls engineering experience with mission-critical facilities
- Experience configuring and deploying security software platforms such as Claroty, Tenable, and Qualys is required.
- Industrial control system engineering experience with SCADA packages such as Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk, Schneider Electric Power SCADA Operations, and Inductive Automation Ignition
- Experience in industrial protocols and devices, e.g., Modbus, IEC 61850, and PLC, and Relays from vendors such as Siemens, ABB, etc.
- Able to understand various communication and networking protocols, database processes, and bussed field networks
- Able to generate conceptual schematics and system architecture drawings and specifications.
- Security monitoring, operational technology monitoring
- Passion for doing both hands-on testing and automation
- Passion for quality and appreciation of overall system reliability
- Experience configuring, testing, and deploying control devices such as PLCs, Meters, and Relays is preferred.
- An advanced understanding of industrial control system cybersecurity, networking protocols, and communication protocol stacks is a plus.
