Overview

As a Facilities & Machine Technician you will perform general and preventive maintenance for shop equipment, facility maintenance, and building repair for one of our machine clients.

Salary :

$27-40 / hr (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, basic prints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform general and preventive maintenance work on shop equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment.
  • Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Follow preventative maintenance plan for molding equipment on a daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual schedule, or per customer requests.
  • General facility maintenance and upkeep.
  • Building repair.
  • Fabricate equipment as needed.
  • Replace electrical fuses and switches; install and replace lighting equipment.
  • Follow basic electricity standards and use of test equipment.
  • Perform basic robotic programming.
  • Support automated machinery production runs by solving technical issues.
  • Responsible for training on assembly machines and robot set-ups.
  • May prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Education & Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, or a four-year university program, in a related field of study is preferred.
  • Ability to perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Basic understanding of ladder logic or PLC programming.
  • Understand and utilize general safety knowledge within the work environment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools with the ability to fabricate.
