Job Summary

Working as the Vice President of Operations at Boise State University campus dining program, you will be responsible for ensuring that assigned business operations are efficient and effective.

You will ensure that the proper management of resources, distribution of services to customers, and analyses of systems are conducted.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sets the tone for culture of organization in the region and regularly meets with extended team to ensure full transparency, education, safety, accountability, and alignment.
  • Ensures that the student and guest experience is achieved, by developing a comprehensive plan for the campus dining program in partnership with the organization and our clients.
  • Ensures commitment to results for all areas of responsibilities, including but not limited to : Guest Experience, Client Retention and Satisfaction, Financial Performance and Requirements, Regulatory Compliance, Purchasing Requirements, Culinary Programs and Standards, Human Resources Management, Retail and Marketing Programs.
  • Directs business to achieve high performance as measured by the company KPI’s, comfortable participating in strategic planning meetings to continue to design and develop food programs.
  • Ensures proper management of resources, sales, finance, human resources, and customer service with full P&L accountability.
  • Champions development of our teams on campus and within the region; conducts performance evaluations, along with succession planning;

has full understanding of all roles within operation.

  • Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the clients’ organization.
  • Identifies client's needs and makes recommendations accordingly.
  • Recognizes and anticipates marketplace trends in the Boise State and surrounding areas; participates in strategic planning meetings to determine commercial opportunities to drive guest satisfaction.
  • Communicates account progress and new Company programs to client.
  • Conducts and / or monitors customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Campus dining experience preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret business records and statistical reports
  • Must be able to analyze and interpret policies established by administrator
  • Possess a passion for service in the local community and developing a diverse supply chain
  • 10-15 years upscale food service experience, including 10 years at the management level and five to seven years’ experience of direct multi-unit management oversight
  • Experience in direct oversight of a total managed volume of $25M or higher
  • Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning
  • Relevant project management experience preferably in building out dining facilities in engaging, diversified setting
  • Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions
  • Must be able to make business decisions based on financial reports and similar facts in the best interest of the organization and the client
  • Must be knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office : Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
