Lecturer
West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applications for a 9-month, Part-time FTE Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing Lecturer position in Non Tenure Track.
This position will report to the Chair of the Family / Community Health Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Didactic Teaching in psychiatric / mental health nursing the BSN program.
- Clinical Teaching in psychiatric / mental health nursing the BSN program. In addition to clinical teaching, other formats of teaching, including
- skills lab, small group, and simulation teaching may be included.
- Advising students in the BSN program.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and be enrolled in a graduate degree program with a major in nursing within one year of employment as a faculty member;
or have a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing and at least two years of direct patient care experience in nursing.
- Required to have unencumbered WV RN License by position start date.
- Applicants with three years of teaching experience in nursing are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrable ability of current nursing practices sufficient to demonstrate professional competence.
- Initial appointment for Instructor in Clinical Education Track requires : two years of professional nursing practice experience.
Rank and salary commensurate with education, professional background, and experience.
