Role Description :

The Eberhard accounting team is seeking an entry-level accountant to join, learn, and grow with the company. The ideal candidate is a motivated, quick learner eager to experience all aspects of a fast-paced accounting and manufacturing environment.

Initially, the associate will support SOX compliance and standard accounting practices. As they progress, they will gain responsibilities across various accounting disciplines, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and audit.

Key Responsibilities :

Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Controls & Administration

• Coordinate and assist with quarterly and year-end audit testing for each functional accounting area
• Maintain process narrative and test matrix documentation
• Compile orderly and complete SOX documentation binders for each functional area

Month / Year-End Financial Closing Assistance

• Prepare journal entries with supporting detail
• Prepare supporting financial schedules
• Review, reconcile, and analyze miscellaneous general ledger accounts
• Manage inter-plant product transfer accounting

Inventory Cost Accounting

• Assist in annual physical inventory
• Review weekly inventory adjustments for reasonableness
• Review weekly closed work orders for unusual or missing costs
• Review monthly purchase price variances
• Assist with the annual standard cost revaluation

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance
• 0-3 years of experience in a related field

Skills and Abilities :

• Accounting Software Proficiency : Knowledge of software like QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other accounting systems is a plus.
• Microsoft Excel : Strong skills in Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Communication : Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Teamwork : Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ethics and Integrity : Strong sense of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
• Time Management : Efficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks.
• Adaptability : Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
