McNaughton-McKay Electric Company Credit Manager This position leads the Southern Region, (Georgia, North and South Carolina), credit and collection functions in a manner to increase sales, maximize cash flow, and safeguard McNaughton-McKay’s assets within the framework of company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities : 1.

Establishes and maintains customer credit limits. 2.

Initiates the prompt collection of delinquent accounts. 3.

Investigates and resolves customer disputes while working with sales account managers in order to protect market share and goodwill. 4.

Conducts periodic customer visits. 5.

Investigates the credit worthiness of new and existing accounts while keeping credit file information current (includes financial statement analysis). 6.

Prepares monthly activity reports for functional leadership. 7.

Forecast potential bad debt. 8.

Ensures corporate credit policy is followed. 9.

Administers bankruptcy proceedings. 10.

Directs the activity of the branch credit department staff including : .

Recruiting, hiring and training staff .

Evaluation of staff performance .

Planning, assigning, directing and reviewing work 11.

Maintains a DSO that meets or exceeds corporate requirements. 12.

Partner with the extended credit team across McNaughton-McKay to identify process improvements to maximize efficiency or reduce DSO.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities to be successful include :

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
  • Two or more years of leadership experience (including supervision) in a credit focused role.
  • Two or more years of experience in collections of commercial accounts and analyzing financial statements.
  • Two or more years of experience with financing functions including UCC filings, liens, letters or credit, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced PC skills with MS Office products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, customer service driven and a hands-on team player. Reporting Relationships : Reports To : Regional Finance Manager Direct Reports : Accounts Receivable staff Working Conditions : Normal office environment.
