Description

CNA 2 - Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Newberg Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7 : 30pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.

Extra Incentives :

In this position you will :

• Contribute to a high functioning team
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
• Other duties as assigned

Assists with basic patient care for patients and specific delegated duties that support the delivery of quality patient care, under the supervision of an RN.

The Certified Nursing Assistant must be competent to interact and gather data from patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Consequently, the Certified Nursing Assistant must be competent to observe and report to RN a patient's self-report or behavior.

Required Qualifications :

• Coursework / Training - Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course or Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications :

1 year - Acute hospital experience.1 year - Experience as a CNA 2.
