We are hiring immediately for a Clinical Dietitian position!

• Location : Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown - Columbus, GA

• Setting : 565-bed hospital; Primarily covers adult inpatient population, opportunities for pediatric / NICU as desired as well as LTAC coverage and outpatient oncology
• Schedule : Full time; Monday - Friday with rotating weekends
• Requirement : Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible. New grads welcome!!

Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center in Columbus, GA. Provides Monday-Friday coverage with rotating weekends, usually once every 5th weekend (works either Saturday or Sunday).

Primarily covers our adult inpatient population, but there are opportunities for pediatric / NICU as desired as well as LTAC coverage and outpatient oncology.

There is also the opportunity to practice / learn advanced skill sets such as parenteral nutrition management. Willing to accommodate flexible hours to promote a positive work-life balance.

Daily practice is part of a supportive, high functioning and well rounded team of 11 Registered Dietitians. Team experience level includes new graduates up to 20+ years.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provides medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient population
• Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
• Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
• Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement programs

Qualifications :

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing / Credentialing Board, in states where required
• One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
