About The Position
Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology / Cardiology - PET / CT Job Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Day 4x10-Hour (08 : 00 - 18 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years required in the specialty, except for the SICU unit License : Compact or Kentucky State License required at time of submission Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : - COVID-19 Vaccine : Required - Medical / Religious exemptions only- Flu Vaccine : Required - Medical / Religious exemptions only Job Description : Day shift hours may shift slightly due to scheduled patients.
- Position requires good communication skills and attention to detail.- Most importantly, centered on patient care.- Prefer technologist with experience performing various PET / CT scans, such as general FDG Oncology, NET, PSMA, Neurology, and Cardiac imaging.
- Must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.- Must have level 1 trauma experience for most units.
- Return staff policy requires a 90-day gap to return as a traveler.- University of Kentucky will not accept any licensure or background hits submission will be rejected or canceled if any are found during the compliance process.
- Candidates should discuss previous work experience at the facility to confirm eligibility for rehire.- After-hours recovery process includes floating from PACU to main PACU if operations are closed by 8 PM.
- On-call requirements include availability during call hours and response within 1 hour for PACU.- Anticipated call shifts : 2-3 per schedule period (6 weeks).
- Orientation : 8 hours, non-billable.
