Compensation :
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role Summary
The primary purpose of the Information Technology Manager position is to manage our information technology platform. This includes managing daily IT operations, overseeing the IT helpdesk support function, working collaboratively with IT vendors, and project management activities for assigned technology initiatives.
This position actively pursues technology and process improvement efforts to address the agency’s current and future technology needs.
This position is a key player with regulatory compliance activities, with an emphasis on IT security requirements.
- Participates in the development and implementation of goals, strategic initiatives, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Collaborates to integrate the values of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) into all aspects of the organization.
Assists with the development and implementation of IDEA initiatives in support of Wayfinder’s strategic plan goals of advancing equity.
- Promotes a healthy organizational culture based on trust, respect, empowerment and accountability.
- Effectively supervises, evaluates and directs the work of IST support analyst(s). Timely completion of performance appraisals, regular supervisory meetings, performance documentation, staff development and supervision for success best practices.
Manage personnel functions including recruitment, hiring, retention and discipline of staff.
- Develops and executes policies and procedures and a system of accountability that tracks the quality of service, program budget, relevant documentation, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Manages the IT support function and daily operations effectively and efficiently. Responsible for troubleshooting advanced technology systems problems, escalates issues to the appropriate vendor(s), as necessary, and ensures that issues are resolved timely and accurately.
Keeps the Senior Director informed and updated for all system-wide and high priority incidents. Communicates efficiently and effectively with management, users, and external resources.
Proactively seeks process improvement efforts to facilitate the workflows and to enhance the customer service experience.
- Conduct performance appraisals and regular supervisory meetings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements like HIPAA and others.
- Serve as a project manager or coordinator for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure successful project completion.
- Assist in IT strategic planning and annual budget preparation.
- Manage IT asset inventory and procurement in accordance with agency procedures.
- Participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement.
- Attends, leads (as applicable) and actively participates in project meetings, committees, user groups, and other events, as assigned.
- May perform other duties, as assigned, in order to meet department and / or agency goals, or as requested by the Senior Director.
