Position Overview :

We seek a dynamic and experienced Product Marketing Manager to drive product marketing and implement a global go-to-market strategy for Rakuten Advertising's influencer product line.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, you will play a crucial role in driving Rakuten Advertising's newest product.

This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of identifying areas of opportunity, influencing product strategy, bringing our solutions to life for clients, and fostering the growth of the product.

Our team's mission is to generate customer insights that inform our product strategy, lead go-to-market planning and execution, develop impactful sales collateral, and serve as the voice of the customer.

Product Marketing is highly cross-functional, and we partner closely with Product, Sales, Client Services, Marketing, and Commercial Strategy, to name a few.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and product positioning skills, thrive in an ambiguous environment, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage GTM for Influencer Offering : Work closely with a cross-functional team, including marketing and sales, to develop and test hypotheses and refine GTM strategies.
  • Develop Buyer Personas and Messaging : Create detailed buyer personas and messaging informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis : Conduct thorough market, competitor, and customer research and analysis.
  • Product Marketing Ownership : Manage product marketing tasks for influencer, including value proposition, sales enablement, go-to-market (GTM) planning, packaging, and customer adoption.
  • Sales Enablement and GTM Collateral : Develop compelling sales enablement and GTM collateral, including email copy, pitch decks, one-sheets, talking points, and battle cards.
  • GTM and Launch Planning : Oversee the full GTM and launch planning activities for Influencer, new products, and new features, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful launches and drive adoption.
  • Regional Programs and Initiatives : Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute regional programs and initiatives.
  • Partner Relationship Management : Support partner relationships to learn best practices, develop key tactics, coordinate launch activities, and drive ongoing activities to meet goals.

Key Requirements :

Education : BA / BS

Experience :

  • Experience in the influencer marketing space, including platforms, networks, SaaS, agencies, and community platforms.
  • 3+ years of product marketing or related experience.
  • Experience in independent deliverable management, partner marketing, and small team management on a project-by-project basis with global technology companies.
  • B2B marketing and digital advertising technology experience (affiliate, display, search, social, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to create collateral, messaging, and copy with minimal direction.
  • Analytical Skills : Experience in running and synthesizing data from surveys, focus groups, and interviews. Ability to independently synthesize internal and external data to support conclusions.
  • Communication Skills : Strong cross-functional and cross-geo communication skills, with the ability to interact with teams across approximately four continents.
  • Organizing and Planning : Excellent ability to manage, prioritize, and organize tasks, and communicate priorities across the organization.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple tasks.

Adaptability : Ability to respond and adapt to changing circumstances, manage problems, and provide solutions in a climate of ambiguity.

Capable of managing multiple deliverables simultaneously and prioritizing work efforts based on changing business needs.

Team Player : Proven ability to build strong working relationships cross-functionally and with team members. Demonstrated experience in building credibility with and delivering results for product teams, sales teams, and customers.
