Job Description :
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in the Burbank, IL area. The ideal candidate will work with elementary or middlegrade students and must be licensed in Special Education.
This is an on-site position starting in the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of elementary or middle grade students
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed student records and documentation
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding student achievements and challenges
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Illinois Special Education Teacher certification / license
- Experience working with elementary grade students preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Passion for supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with disabilities
