We are seeking a Water / Wastewater EIT / Entry-Level Engineer to join our team. This position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe office.
This job is not remote nor hybrid.) We anticipate this position starting in May 2025.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains and documents communication with clients through letters and telephone throughout the development and completion of a project.
- Monitors team members’ progress and advises team members of schedules and deadlines.
- Reviews schedules and budgets relative to project progress and completion.
- Conducts project status review checking accuracy of work completed and monitors timeliness of project completion.
- Attends meetings on project management.
- Assists Project Managers with any administrative duties concerning the completion of the assigned project.
- Maintains project file.
- Assists Project Manager in preparation of engineering studies and reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to members of the project team.
- Provide project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software, and AutoCADD.
- Assists in the preparation of contract documents and technical specifications.
- Assists Project Manager in assuring quality control procedures are performed.
- Assist in the preparation of project drawings.
- Performs necessary code research.
- Responsible for the accuracy of each segment of the work and the final check of the work.
- Responsible for adherence to all applicable codes.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to engineering staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
- Possess a strong desire for a career working in the Water and Wastewater field (including the design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans).
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Valid driver’s license with approved / acceptable driving history
- Familiarity with MicroStation and / or AutoCAD platforms
